Thailand - Bangkok etc 1
Bangkok is the capital of Thailand and a bustling city mixed with various ancient temples, floating market and a lot of modern buildings.
In 1782, after the King Taksin of Thonburi passing away, the King Rama I moved the capital to Bangkok, and established the Chakri Dynasty.
Bangkok is called by the Thais " Krung Thep " (means " City of Angels ").
The ceremonial name is unbelievably long:
"Krung Thep Maha Nakhon Amon Rattanakosin Mahinthara Ayuttaya Mahadilok Phop Noppharat Ratchathani Burirom Udom .... " and still goes on.. :D

Bangkok. It's called " Reua kaam faak " in Thai and it is to and from between the two side of Bangkok and Thonburi. It works for people as an important means of transportation. The fare is 2 Baht. (Sorry if it's not. :D ) |
